Greatness is a gift deposited in everybody. However, not every body achieves greatness. Greatness doesn't depend on what a man has. Jesus said, a man's life doesn't consist in what he has.
Jesus didn't have much earthly possessions but he is the greatest man that has ever lived. Thousands of years after he has gone, we are still feeling his impact. If all the wealth of Nelson Mandela was to be taken from him at the age of say 70, would you still have considered him a great man? A resounding and emphatic Yes!
Greatness has a price. One of the greatest prices you have to pay for greatness is self discipline. I bet you, a greater price you have to pay is spiritual discipline. I would over the next two weeks, write on spiritual discipline. This entails spiritual things we do in times of convenience and inconvenience. The first aspect of spiritual discipline is that we should have a quiet time everyday.
Your strength for the day might be embedded in this. Hudson Taylor, a very great man, never allowed the sun to meet him not being on his knees. We have a quiet time at a very quiet and convenient time of the day, especially in the morning. This should include worship, prayers and fellowship with the word.
Using a devotional may be a very good tool. If you do not have a devotional, the following links may be useful: read rhapsodyofrealities.org,ourdailybread.org, etc. The Lord gives you ability.
YOUR LIFE IS GREAT
