PICTURES: BRILLIANT ARSENAL HELD BY MANCHESTER CITY

They would be perfect sons-in-law. You could take them to afternoon tea at the Ritz without offending the sensibilities of the grazing gentry.

But will Arsenal’s bright young things win a Premier League title? Sad as it seems to the enraptured neutral, not while they remain as streetwise as a country curate.
Manchester City have players of similar quality. They’re hardly cartoon thugs, but they are prime physical specimens who can look after themselves. They wear knuckle dusters beneath silken gloves, and foul tactically and strategically, in rotation to avoid the wrath of the referee.
Their movement is subtle and they apply an array of lustrous skills. Take your eyes off them for a second, and they will steal the family silver. That’s why a mesmerising match had such a portentous air.
For all the new faces on show, an old story: Arsenal wove intricate patterns, dazzled and dominated, but fell behind. They showed admirable character in scoring twice to take the lead, but couldn't close the deal.
Martin Demichelis spared Manchester City from a second
successive loss by heading in a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw at
Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
After Sergio Aguero put defending champion City in front in the first half, Arsenal staged a fight-back after the break inspired by Jack Wilshere. The midfielder clipped an equalizer past
goalkeeper Joe Hart before setting up Alexis Sanchez for a volley
in the 74th minute.
But Aleksandar Kolarov's corner was met with a powerful header by Demichelis in the 83rd at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal remains unbeaten after four league matches but City is a further point ahead on seven.
